Daily Doodle: The long meeting
A new Project kicks off
I’m a firm believer in the ‘process’.
I love to see the way artists think and battle and bushwhack through the process to find the right forms for their idea. This year, in the thin slivers of time outside day job and family, I’m attempting to launch a new personal project and I want to share the process with you, warts and all. Partly to keep an open log of my progress, but mostly to open up the process and share it with you. It’s about the exploits of a Mouse and a Dragon, and my ultimate goal is that it will hit your ipad/tablet some time at the end of this year. It will combine animation, 2d art and interactivity. It will hopefully have a rollicking good story involving a giant, a lighthouse, a crashed birthday party, and sundry disgruntled rabbits.
I’ll share my visual development and animation tests, my thinking. It probably won’t look too pretty, but you don’t care about that.
So, if you’re up for it, tag along
A-harr
Now I’m back from camping and freshly sunburnt, it’s daily doodle time. More ‘life is Story’ artwork is on the way…various camping related exploits.

Life is Story: At the Supermarket
There’s an expression in English: ‘Some mothers do ‘ave em’. That applies to this little dude I met at the supermarket. I really should have helped, but I felt he needed to gain a little more independence.

The baron

I have a fondness for Pigs in Biplanes. Who doesn’t?
accidents with boules
One of those random situations that merit a doodle today. Don’t throw those boules around, people!
Le Bullfighter
Nothing wrong with a bit of pink every now and then…today’s daily doodle.
Viking Paintings
Just some viking paintings, really. What more do you want?
